Below are some main changes in MVW-DVD 5.0 from the last version 4.0.4.114

1. MainConcept MPEG-2 video encoder

2. DVD export size control to fit a given (DVD-5/DVD-9) disc capacity.

3. DVD Reader tool to import DVD video via IFO data.

4. Transition operator "Video Overlay" to emulate a limited version of two video tracks

5. "Aspect Ratio Converter" image filter for NTSC-PAL conversions.

6. a number of bug fixes.

Hi Admin,

Your list of new features for v. 5.00 is largely underestimated.

"MainConcept MPEG-2 video encoder" is, for most people, only a vague term that doesn't mean too much.

I am the one who requested ability to work with H.264 input files. (Sanyo XACTI HD2000, 1080p @60fps)

It is there, but without proper announcement I almost didn't try the new version (... and risk to invalidate my full 4.x version license).

Please list specifically the new formats you support - people want to see this! We know your existing strengths, we just need to know that we can work with files produced by the most recent video gadgets. You take this for granted, users don't.

Thanks,

Jan

Not all h.264 files are supported. I have a Canon HF100 AVCHD camcorder. MVW5 will open the mts files recorded by the camera, and it seems to play the audio normally, but is doesn't play the video.

What about saving mp4 stream without re-encoding? Smart rendering seems to be working only for mpeg-2 streams. Any chance implementing it in the next versions?
